How it all began
In August 2022 I sent myself a postcard from Ironman Alaska that described my perfect mate. It’s my normal process of logic and intention to help make things in my life happen. I hired The Matchmaking DUO (Hey Tana and Kelli!) and we started what I thought would be a along and intense process to find some possibilities.
Well, once I met Yolandra, I threw all that out the window. The DUO had a really good feeling about Yolandra, and within a month of our 1st date I knew she was my postcard come to life.

I just happened to hop on social media on March 27, 2023 and saw a matchmaking post on Facebook, describing Thomas (#MochaMedicineTom) and his ideal mate, which sounded a lot like me. He was FINE and, from what I read, kind. Thank you to the multiple people who knew him and positively endorsed him! I strategically waited to shoot my shot… and it worked! After an interview, the first date was set for April 15th, 2023!

The Proposal:
While Thomas, Yolandra, and Amara were on their first family trip, Thomas gave Yolandra her “something blue” at the Blue Man Group! In front of Amara, Yolandra’s brother Leviticus, Thomas’s mother Nancy, and hundreds of audience members, Thomas asked Yolandra to be his wife at the Luxor just before the show as they both love spaces full of joy, music, and fun!
And the rest has been Scheer Joy!!!
